RESEARCH AND ITERATION

Four rounds, each with a clear focus.

  1. 01

    Discovery and early validation

Card sorts, interviews and low-fidelity wireframe tests.

  2. 02

    Mid-fidelity evaluation

    Task-based testing of wireframes.

  3. 03

    Information architecture validation

Tree testing of the proposed structure.

  4. 04

    End-to-end validation

High-fidelity booking and visual identity testing.

WHAT CHANGED

Research brought practical needs into the journey earlier.

01

Practical details affected the decision to book.

Teachers needed capacity, timings, access and logistics earlier.

Design response

Surface educational fit and practical information before booking.

02

Session options were hard to compare.

Teachers needed a clearer sense of what each involved.

Design response

Make session details clearer and easier to compare.

03

Learning resources were part of visit planning.

Teachers considered classroom materials alongside the trip.

Design response

Connect relevant resources more clearly to the visit journey.

BOOKING JOURNEY

A shorter, clearer sequence.

steps

REFINED PROTOTYPE5

steps

The staged structure stayed. Lower-value steps were removed.

ILLUSTRATIVE MOCK-UPS

These simplified mock-ups were created for this portfolio to illustrate the recommendations. Original project designs cannot be shared publicly.

I presented the findings and handed over 19 prioritised recommendations.
