I REVIEWED

01Earlier teacher research
02Site and reader analytics
03Page structure and content

FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Four changes could make the experience clearer.

01

Teachers could arrive directly at a story.

Story pages received more visits than the collection page.

Recommendation

Give every story page context and a clear link back to the collection.

02

The story competed with supporting material.

People who started reading spent longer with the story than with the surrounding page.

Recommendation

Put the story first, with clear online and PDF options beside it.

03

Teaching guidance was spread across pages and PDFs.

Its purpose and sequence were hard to see.

Recommendation

Group it under “Using this story with your class”, explain each item and add web versions.

04

The growing collection needed a consistent structure.

Teachers should not have to relearn each page.

Recommendation

Use the same page structure and labels across stories.
